1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of walkeasyshoes.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make from us. The Site is operated by Forward Scholars LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company doing business as Walk Easy Shoes ("we", "us", "our").

By visiting the Site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Shipping Policy, Return Policy, Cancellation Policy and Payment Policy, which are part of this agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and be able to form a binding contract to place an order. The Site is intended for customers in the United States.

3. Our products

We sell footwear and related accessories. We try to describe and show our products accurately, but we do not guarantee that descriptions, images, colors, sizes or other content are complete, current or error-free. Colors may look different on different screens, and fit varies by style and by person, so please check the size guide on each product page before you order.

Not medical advice

Information on the Site is for general information only and is not medical advice. Our footwear is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have foot pain, a foot condition, diabetes, circulation problems or any other health concern, talk to a doctor or podiatrist before choosing footwear. Stop wearing a product and seek advice if it causes pain or discomfort. Comfort is personal, and individual results may vary.

4. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We may accept or decline an order, in whole or in part, for reasons such as product unavailability, pricing or description errors, suspected fraud, or an address we cannot ship to. An order confirmation email means we received your order. It does not mean we have accepted it. We accept your order when we ship it. If we cancel an order after you have paid, we will refund you in full.

We may limit quantities per customer or per order.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time without notice. Prices do not include shipping or sales tax, which are added at checkout where applicable. If a price was shown in error, we may cancel the order and refund you. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate payment and billing information and authorize us to charge your chosen payment method. See our Payment Policy for more detail.

6. Shipping, returns and cancellations

Shipping is covered by our Shipping Policy, returns and refunds by our Return Policy, and order changes and cancellations by our Cancellation Policy. Please read them before ordering.

7. Discounts and promotions

Discount codes and promotions are subject to their stated terms, may expire, cannot be combined unless we say so, have no cash value, and may be cancelled if we suspect abuse or misuse.

8. Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Please tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Place fraudulent orders or use a payment method you are not authorized to use
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems or other users' accounts
  • Introduce viruses or other harmful code, or interfere with the Site's operation or security
  • Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to collect data from the Site without our permission
  • Resell our products using false claims, or misrepresent your connection with us
  • Post unlawful, misleading, harassing, defamatory or infringing content

10. Reviews and user content

If you submit reviews, photos or other content, you confirm that you own it or have the right to share it and that it is truthful, lawful and does not infringe anyone's rights. You keep ownership of your content, and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce and adapt it on the Site and in our marketing. We may remove any content at our discretion. Reviews should reflect your honest experience. Please do not post health claims about treating or curing diseases.

11. Intellectual property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, product images, designs and the Walk Easy Shoes name, belong to Forward Scholars LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

12. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to third-party websites or use third-party services, such as Shopify and payment providers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, products or services, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and our products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any product will produce a particular result for you. Some states do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forward Scholars LLC and its members, managers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and some states do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you in full.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Forward Scholars LLC and its members, managers, employees and partners from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third party's rights.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem, please contact us first at hello@walkeasyshoes.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot, any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, and you and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction, except where the law of your state gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

17. Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the new version with a new "Last updated" date. The Terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order, and continued use of the Site after changes means you accept them.

18. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the policies referred to in them are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, that does not mean we give it up.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours, for example in a sale of the business.
  • Headings. Headings are for convenience only.
